Web Based Delivery of Reports and Dashboards
Datavision is a true data warehouse - all its information is retained perpetually. This makes it easy to compare yesterday’s information to data from years prior, or compare against budgets and forecasts. You can also automatically aggregate weekdays, weekends, week to date, month to date, year to date numbers in your reports without having to setup complicated macros. You can create reports in seconds or minutes that would otherwise take hours, or in some cases, be almost impossible to duplicate manually. The power of one: Since Datavision mines detailed information from multiple systems, one single system can now be used to achieve the goals of multiple users across the company - Revenue Management, Sales & Marketing, Finance, F&B, Spa, Golf, etc. - while ensuring that everyone is making informed decisions off the same set of numbers.
Thanks to Datavision’s customizability, you can create reports and dashboards to your exact requirements. User can then publish and share with others in multiple formats - Excel Based Reports, Microsoft SSRS Reports, Dashboards, Web Based Reports, Ad Hoc slice and dice, etc.
All the benefits of Excel without the pitfalls Excel is a very powerful tool when used correctly. Unfortunately, one of the disadvantages of widespread usage of Excel within an organization arises when multiple workbooks are interconnected using links.  Inserting or deleting rows and columns in any of the sheets leads to 'broken' links, non- working formulas and incorrect data.   Datavision solves this problem by allowing users to connect individual cells to directly to the database via two-way database-enabled formulas instead of other sheets.  Information is thus delivered to multiple workbooks directly from the database instead of other sheets. Since the formulas are two-way, data can be written to the database as well, if necessary (based on the user's security settings). Automatic aggregations - Many times, users create macros within their worksheets to calculate month to date, year to date totals, etc. Datavision eliminates the need for these types of macros as well, by providing pre- built calculations for MTD, QTD, YTD, weekday vs. weekend calculations etc.
Datavision's Excel add-in in will ‘connect’ users to the data warehouse. You can still continue using Excel as you normally would, but you now have the added functionality of integrating Datavision’s data right into your existing Excel spreadsheets. You can use the Datavision add-in one of two ways: Ad-Hoc Analysis: You can query the databases on the fly and create instant reports – you can effortlessly create reports that show occupancy by room type by booking source, the most popular spa services between the hours of 10 AM to 2 PM, room service breakfast revenue for the last 10 Sundays, booking pace across weekly snapshots, etc. Formula-based Reports: You can also create standard Excel™ reports using Datavision’s special formulas that bring data from the databases right into individual cells. Since these formulas can be spread all over the report, you can make the report look exactly the way you want it to look. You can even take existing Excel™ reports that you might be creating manually and put Datavision formulas wherever you would manually enter data. You have now completely automated a report that can be run in seconds every day.

Datavision's web portal - DVWeb -allows web-based access to Excel reports. Power users can create reports using Excel or Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and selectively publish them to DVWeb. Reports will be delivered to end users in HTML format, removing the need for Excel on the machine. These web reports are not just static “views” - users can still select options to change the data contained in the report. Security can be assigned to reports so that specific reports can be accessed only by specific users. DVWeb allows many users within your organization to quickly share Datavision data. Reports can also be accessed from compatible mobile devices (iOS, Android and Windows) or can be automatically delivered to users’ inboxes
Datavision can be used to successfully achieve a number of goals: Analyze revenue distribution for all key areas - Rooms, F&B, Spa, Golf, Group Business, etc. Monitor Labor daily. Not just hours and dollars, but also productivity information such as cost per occupied room and cost % revenue Generate daily revenue reports without any manual labor and distribute automatically to users across the company Identify key guests (name, address, email, etc.) based on spend and stay patterns. Seamlessly collect data from multiple properties, standardize based on corporate standards and run consolidated reports Create budgets and forecasts using Datavision’s budgeting and forecasting module and export to the back office

Dashboards  and SSRS Reports
Datavision’s Business Intelligence system is comprised of three different “layers”: Interfaces to your existing systems (PMS, POS, Spa, Golf, Sales & Catering, General Ledger, Timeclock, etc.).  Datavision works with multiple vendors to create interfaces that are specific to each system. As your source systems change versions, Datavision’s interfaces change as well Data Warehouse - a comprehensive repository of information that reflects a decade of research, design and fine tuning. Datavision’s data warehouse has been custom designed from the ground up for hospitality. This means that when you purchase Datavision, you’re getting a system that understands your reporting challenges even before you talk to us! Reports and Dashboards - Perhaps the most powerful feature of Datavision. The true power of Datavision lies in the ability to customize the “look and feel” to meet your reporting needs. You can either modify the reports and dashboards that come with the system, or create your own from scratch. Either way, you get a system that molds itself to the way you work and not the other way around.
